It is a very odd feeling to be sewing and watching Project Runway at the same time. Just thought I'd throw that out there. haha
I will be leaving town (again!) for who knows how long this time. I'm going to be entering my county fair this weekend as long as they will have me! I'm taking my shawl, and the mini-tote that I'm finishing here in about 10 minutes. I also have an infinity scarf that I made a while back that I may enter. I don't know....the categories are kind of odd so I don't really know what to enter into which category. I'm a bundle of nerves about it though. My momma cracks me up...she keeps saying that I need to worry about the fact that the worst thing that could happen is that I don't get a silly little ribbon. BUT - I know she will be over the moon if I do win something! Plus, if I do win, I think that it will give me some sort of validation as a crocheter/creator that I may need in my own mind.
In other news of my life....the real reason that I'm writing this is to mention that since I'm not on a deadline for fair stuff anymore, I should be busting out some Etsy products. I'm hoping to have a shop update (MY VERY FIRST!) by August 15th....give or take a day. I'm going to be working on cup cozies for sure, and I'm hoping to have a couple more totes done asap....but if you can thinking of anything else that you're looking for in life that you can't find, let me know - I might be able to make it! :)

girl you are on the road more than a gypsy! i'm so jealous! you should definitely make those flowers, like the one you sent me! everyone who's seen it LOVES it, and my cup cozy of course, that has held everything from hot tea to a four loko :)
